YEARS OF PRACTICE:20 years
I became an attorney in the hopes of being able to provide a service to those in my community and to help people through dealing with them in a very comfortable, personal, and professional manner.
As a father of five, I have a personal stake in family relationships and know first hand the severe impact that marital and family problems can have in peoples' lives. I believe that if handled properly, the scars that are often left after a relationship ends can be greatly lessened. I think that it's imperative that the focus in a family law case be on the total results including not only the financial issues but also on the lasting well-being of the involved parties, especially the children. Having been through the process myself, I can not only sympathize but can also empathize with people going through a family law crisis.
On the other end of the spectrum, there is nothing more personally satisfying to me than to help a couple adopt a child or to help a family to once and for all resolve issues in their lives that have plagued them for a long period of time.
I tailor my practice to my clients' needs first and foremost. In my experience, people are intimidated by coming to an attorney not only because of the problems they're having but also the image that's always been painted of who and what an attorney is.
When we meet, my clients are often surprised that I'm not sitting in a great big office or driving an expensive car or wearing a tailored suit. I'm glad to meet my clients at my office or, if they have a need, to meet them at their location. My hours are very flexible and I understand that people have to work - so I'm glad to meet in the evening or on the weekends or whatever makes things easier and more comfortable for them because, after all, without my clients, I don't have a reason to be here at all.
My primary interests away from the office are my children and my church. I'm involved with, devoted to, and take joy in both and they make my life complete. I volunteer at the SPCA near my office in Sharonville and spending time with the animals brings me peace. And, of course, there's the beach - life is always nicer at the beach and my retreats there help to put everything in perspective.

In addition to practicing law for my clients since 1993, I've garnered substantial experience in the insurance claims field, both as an insurance company claims person and in corporate risk management. My greatest pride and accomplishment historically has been raising my five grown children but on a day-to-day basis I consider myself to have done well if my clients tell me they are in a better place personally or legally because of our relationship.
