Why did you become an attorney?

I decided to become an attorney as I enjoy assisting others with solving legal problems, whether drafting a deed or an entire estate plan, or even defending a lawsuit.

What made you choose your primary specialty focus of law?

Bankruptcy and real estate are my primary areas of law, and I came about each in a very different way. With real estate, I developed a passion while working as a law clerk in law school where I had a project to research the real estate records to determine the ownership of an old road. While researching the records back to the early 1800s, I was fascinated by the concept that the real estate records were actually a window to the past, and that the answer was there, I just had to find it. With bankruptcy, I enjoy being able to be able to provide good people who fell on hard times with the relief the bankruptcy code provides.

What makes your law firm unique?

Two things come to mind that really make Swartz Law Office unique; responsiveness and transparency. One of the biggest complaints that I hear about attorneys is that we don't return phone calls. Throughout my career, I have always strived to maintain a high level of responsiveness with my clients in returning calls and emails. My clients always know what is happening on their cases.

Describe your personal interest and hobbies.

I very much enjoy spending as much time as I can with my 2 small children (ages 5 and 2) and my wife. Family is very important to me, and I am blessed to have such a wonderful family. I also enjoy playing golf and following baseball and football and getting a little woodworking in when time permits.
